Font that work in Photoshop but not in Illustrator

Hi,

I've got a "Protected fonts cannot be embedded" when I've saved my Illustrator file after adding a text with our own font. Creating Photoshop document using this font work without the same problem so I guess it's not a license problem...

Any idea about the problem?

Using a font to create a graphic is different from EMBEDDING the actual
font. It may well be a license issue.

Is there a way to save it without embedding the font but keeping reference on it so it will be possible to open the file on another workstation that has the same font installed ?

No need to do anything special, Daniel.

If another workstation has the identical font installed, the IL file will open on that machine without incident. In fact, you will get a warning if a required font is not present on a workstation and a substitution is about to be made.

Even if you were able to embed the font in question, that font would be available only for text display, not editing. To edit text, the required font must be installed on the workstation.
