    Default Fonts Disappeared

I haven't upgraded or added anything that I know of and 2/3 of my fonts in Photoshop 7.0 disappeared. I get A-H and that's it. I was told to try and delete the adobefnt.lst files but that didn't do anything. And all my fonts are still visible in After Effects 5.5. So, is there any ideas of what caused this and how to fix it? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    thanks,
    Steve

    Default Re: Fonts Disappeared

    Check this thread:

Please do a search on font and limit on this forum. It's one of the most
frequently asked questions. Bottom line: Use a font management utility
and activate only those fonts you need. The limit on the number of Photoshop
can display is a nebulous issue, but Photoshop does indeed seem to have
such a limit. A font manager will remedy that by letting you activate
    fewer fonts at a time.
