fonts from platform to platform problem - Macromedia Director Basics

Does anybody out there have an IBM clone with shockwave on it? (it's a free download like acrobat reader) I've made a director movie in a class I'm taking and even though the fonts are embedded, the IBM at the library substitutes a font which ruins the whole clip. I wondering if it's just the library or transfer to another platform that's the problem. maybe I should have learned Premiere. This program seems to have many glitches................................. http://www.oasiswebdevelopment.com/bbp thanks in advance Betsy...

Hi Betsy,

As others have mentioned in your later post to the group, this issue is
most likely due to the machine having a restricted user setup and
therefore cannot write the embedded font to the Windows Font folder
during playback of the Director movie.

For playback on restricted machines you may have to use system fonts (or
fonts available on all the target playback systems) or use images for
the text where the formatting and font is crucial to the design.
