Fonts : using an image as backgound of a font instead of a color - Macromedia Fireworks

Hello, I would like to use a background for a text instead of a color. Is is possible with fireworks? I am using images as buttons and would like to swap these images so that the text of the 2nd image use the background of the first image (this background is an image) and the background of the 2nd image use an another image Thanks...

I would like to use a background for a text instead of a color. Is is
    possible with fireworks?

I am using images as buttons and would like to swap these images so that the
text of the 2nd image use the background of the first image (this background
is an image) and the background of the 2nd image use an another image

    Luc,

    1) Write your text over the top of the image that you want to become the
    background for your text.
    2) Now select *only* your image and go to Edit > cut or Ctrl+x.
    3) Now select your text and go to Edit > Paste Inside or Ctrl+Shift+V

That should do it for you.
