Default Foreign language text in Director

I am reletively new to Director.

I have a project whereby I need to view and scroll up and down text in six
languages, including Japanese. There is also a need to copy these texts to
the hard drive from the CD if the user wishes to do so.

The texts are to be supplied to me in Word format.

I have searched through the manuals but can not find inspiration. I am on
    version 8.5.

Any help/advice would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mark

Default Re: Foreign language text in Director

    Mark:

Here it is in a general way. You create a separate cast for each language,
i.e, English, Japanese, Arabic, Etc. Then fill each cast member in each cast
with the equivalent translated text. For example, Cast English member 1 =
Hello. Cast Spanish member 1 = Buenos Dias. And so on. Now, create a button
to switch between cast members within the casts. Place the cast member for
the default language on your score. Now, when you click the button, it
changes the castname for the sprite containing the language. Presto. the
    language has changed.
