Why would this be a feature request?

The ability to replace pages in forms is an established feature. The fact that this doesn't work in landscape format is a BUG.

This falls under bug repair, not feature request.

Unless it was never intended to be a feature. Then it's not a bug, it's a lack of a feature.

    Graf,

    Think about it a second.

If the feature works in Portrait Mode. And doesn't in Landscape in which your printing basically in just a different lay out. That's a Bug. It was something left out by accident. You should be able to do so regardless of which orientation.

Just because you don't use landscape style Forms doesn't mean other people don't. When one is designing software the designers are supposed to think of all the possible permutations users might use the software.

So it should be posted in bugs and in Feature request too. I can think of at least one reason why a PDF would be shown landscape. How about PDF's or Excel spread sheets. When I was treasurer of an Electronics Association for 16 years some of my reports were created in quicken and other in Excel. And some were in landscape mode.

Something left out by accident is not the definition of a bug. That's all I'm saying.

A bug is something that doesn't work as it is intended to work.

well if it doesn't work as the user intended isn't that a bug.

Just being devils advocate for a minute. :-)

graffiti - why does it matter??!?!?!

We are all facing this problem. let's find a solution, not argue over whether its a bug or a missing feature.

    Hi !

Do you have Windows XP service Pack 3 installed ?

    If so:

As far as I know the new Service Pack 3 contains changes to handling OLE objects in the system, this is relevant for copy and pasting (over the clipboard). This update to SP3 and these changes might have cuased error or incompatibility with ACRO 7.1.

Can you check on an SP2 machien. Could you pls try from a new user account ?

Could eventually try again with ACRO 9 trial ?

    Trial,

This is the Acrobat MAC forum. The Acrobat Windows forum is one door down.

n.b. BTW, I have made the forum mistake more than once myself and maybe
a few extra times for other people.

I had the problem of having to make a TIFF out of the old PDF to add something, then when I changed it back to a PDF and replaced the old page with the new page the horizontal form fields were now all vertical.
This was my solution: I have found that when I create my PDF, if I choose Print to Adobe PDF and then choose Page set up - Landscape and then I go in a replace my new page with the old page, the form fields are then correctly placed horizontally.
