    Thanks. That fixes that form, but now the form behind restores also. Is it
    possible to have one form maximized while another non-maximized?
    (Or is that "by design"?)

    It is by design.

    However, you can make the Form behind restored but still occupies the whole
    Access application window using the MaximizeRestoredForm method. The code
    is available in The Access Web article:

    Thanks. I'm filing this for future use. For my use all I need is a "version"
    information box. I may end up using just a msgbox.
