    I know this is a DW newsgroup but is anyone aware of good forum software
    that will allow the posting of pictures into the forum.

    extensible, flexible, reliable - I swear by it

    and since it runs on php and mysql it will can run on just about any setup

    Invision Power Board has to be undoubtedly the best, free PHP/MySQL forum
    out there. IMO it is superior to other forum boards ;-)

    By posting of pics, do you mean galleries or images in posts? You can post
    images etc into Invision Board posts and there are modifications available
    to integrate galleries etc with the forum board.
