Frame in a Frame?
I got a file from a customer that has me stumped.
There is a linked Jpeg inside a circular frame which has a stroke, and the whole thing is INSIDE a rectangular frame that acts like a clipping mask for the inner frame and jpeg.
The inner frame is selectable with the direct select tool and can be manipulated as you would expect.
It is not an inline or anchored object.
The outer frame is not a text frame... beside which I don't think such a setup would allow you to close the outer frame in on the inner frame to mask it.
And it is not a Photoshop clipping mask converted to a frame... that gets rid of the outer frame
When you select the outer frame, Object>Content>shows no options... all gray.
It's not something pasted from Illy into a frame... that would show nothing in the links palette.
What the heck is it????

Re: Frame in a Frame?
InDesign allows you to copy a frame (with or without a picture in it) and to paste it INTO another frame. Menu Edit>paste into.

Re: Frame in a Frame?
You can also copy the object within the frame and paste elsewhere if you want to seperate it from the outer frame.

Becareful to select the content of the frame when you go to re-paste it.
That's probably why the frame was in a frame.
