Frame Rate this...Frame Rate that...good lord, framerates everywhere! - Macromedia Director Basics

Does a Flash Framerate matter in Director? Does the fram rate of a Quicktime Video, imported into Director matter? I mean, of course it matters if you're talking about playback and machines, but I mean, from a development standpoint, do I need to pre-plan for consistent frame rates in Flash and Quicktime?...

Flash, yes. QuickTime, not really. Flash frame rates can make a HUGE
difference in smooth playback within a Director app. When creating Flash
animations that I know I will use in a Director project I make the Flash
frame rate as low as possible. Then for best performance you match the
Director frame rate to the flash frame rate. In my experience QT frame
rates aren't as critical, unless you are also dealing with an extremely high
data rate. I consistently use QT video at 320X240 pixels and 30 fps without
any problem in my Director pieces. However, if you are using a larger
screen size (640X480 or larger) then sustaining a high frame rate in QT
    could be a problem.
