I am not sure if I should post this under FrameMaker or Acrobat, so I am going to post it under both. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

The problem is this:

I use FrameMaker 6.0 with Windows 2000 professional. FrameMaker 6.0 had a known bug where you could not distill to PDF in color without a color print driver. My printer is a B&W laser printer (HP 5). However, I also have the full version of Acrobat 5.0 and it has an "AdobePS Acrobat Distiller" printer driver so I installed that driver. In FrameMaker 6.0, before saving my PDF, I change the print setup to that "AdobePS Acrobat Distiller" printer driver. The PDF distills in nice, vivid color!

The PDF document itself looks great. However, when half of my users print the document, single quotes (') come out as weird characters. When the other half of my users print the document, everything prints correctly. I don't use many symbols such as quotation marks (") so I don't know how they come out. However, I NEED my single quotes (') to print correctly!

In the Acrobat Distiller, I have tried setting the job options to EBOOK and to PRINT and have not had sucess in either case. I have searched the help files for both software packages. I can not find an answer! What is causing this and what can I do to correct this?? I have tried everything that I can think of??? Is this the fault of the driver I am using to convert my FrameMaker book to PDF, is this an Acrobat Distiller problem, or is this an end user print driver problem? If it's an end user print driver problem, what do I need to the users to do to get the document to print correctly?

Your prompt reply is appreciated!
