hit the e key on the keyboard.. or click the free transform tool in the toolbar.

.... and after you've done that, a bounding box with handles (not unlike PS's
free transform bounding box) will appear around your selected artwork. You
can do the same things with it as in PS. To truly FREE distort, begin dragging
a corner handle, then hold the command key. But first begin your drag.
