Default Free Macromedia Flash Player Won't download

Under WinXP Home Ed I tried to play MSN's video using a dial-up connection.
However, I was not able to do so because the loading of Flash Player is
called for and I could not download it.

After lowering my IE's security level to "low", I tried to download Flash
Player but, after I answered "yes" to Install with "Authenticode signature
not found" twice, the download died with seven green progress squares
showing.

At the bottom of the screen it said, "(2 items remaining) Opening page
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/triggerpages_m... (the rest
is blocked by the download progress bar.)

The current URL was
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/triggerpages_mmcom/flash.html.

Any help would be appreciated.
