Re: Free SWF file Compression Tool
Uhm... yea.. And how is this different from checking the "compress" check
box in publish (except that it brings people to this particular site) ?
Not to mention it's buggy: it allows you to compress flash 3/4/5 files,
which actually won't play at it all in those players as they don't support
zlib compression on SWF level.

Re: Free SWF file Compression Tool
At least its better than some programs that CHARGE YOU MONEY to simply turn
on compression.
look at www.swishsoft.com (NOT any relation to the makers of SWiSH, btw)
They charge good money for "SWIFT OPTIMISER" (no relations to SWIFT tooks
AFAIK) that just does the normal Flash MX compression and they also have
"COMPATIBLE OPTIMISER" that turns compression off again. They are $24.95
each .. so that's $49.90 to just turn compression on and off !!!!!.
There are several free utilities that do this (like FLASM).
I personally think they've got a bit of a hide charging for that .. but I
guess its buyer beware.
Also I don't like that they try to associate themselves with reputable firms
like 'swish' and 'swift' by using those names in their products!

anonymously denigrating a competitor here?
(If you aren't Roger Onslow behind the screen name "Jeckyl" then my
apologies, but you can then see the varied types of troubles that come
about when people don't own their words.)
