    Default freehand and PS

    Hi, my name is Alex, I've a big problem, with my OSX final version, and
    Macromedia Freehand MX, when I print to PS files, for to convert with Acrobat
    distiller, the PDF result is grayscale avery time! Please help me I must finish
    my job quickly!!!!
    I tryout averythings but nothing!

    i think you might well need to specify a colour postscript print driver to make
    the PS file - i think i used generic colour printer for macs not connected to a
    spacific PS printer/rip..... i cant remember for shaw but i do remember
    getting B/W pdfs b4 changing print driver settings on an mac at work..... Im
    more a PC chap myself but have had my fair share of mac....

    IOP-jamie is correct. The choice of printer/PPD is important.

    If you have Acrobat Pro/Distiller, then print the Postscript file to the
    'Adobe PDF' printer. In the FreeHand MX advanced print settings make sure
    you have 'Use PPD' checked and the Adobe PDF ppd name is displayed beside
    it.

    If you don't have Acrobat Pro/Distiller installed on your machine, you can
    set up a virtual printer (formatting printer) using the Adobe PDF PPD.

    I believe you can get the Adobe PDF PPD from the Adobe web site.
