Freehand and Quark
Hi all!
Can anyone tell me if Freehand MX can open/save Quark files?
I have taken over producing newsletter etc from someone using Quark, and I am using Freehand MX.
Are the programs "compatible"?
Many thanks,

Re: Freehand and Quark
No. Only InDesign can. And even ID can't do too good job in it. Btw, if you have FHMX why didn't you try to open before posting??? Much less trouble.

Re: Freehand and Quark
There is a way of getting Quark art into Freehand, producing a sort of
'editable' file: create a PDF of the Quark file (using Distiller or a
Quark PDF Export Xtension) and opening that in Freehand, but it will be
a complete mess. It will be much better, especially for something like a
newsletter which is updated regularly, to recreate the design from
scratch in FH.

Re: Freehand and Quark
I'm sorry, I ment complexity. As non-native English speaking these arent always so simple; complicated <-> complexy (I thought it was complicity)
