Default freehand crashes with canon i860 printer

I just purchased a Canon i860 printer and installed the software. All programs
seem to print just fine, except Freehand. I can open a Freehand file, click
print, and the file will print. While it is printing, Freehand 'unexpectedly
quits.' It also crashes if I just do a print preview.
    Help!
    I am working on a 466 MHz PowerPC G4 with OS 10.3.3. I have 256 MG SDRAM.
    Thanks!

Default Re: freehand crashes with canon i860 printer

    Hello,

If you are using FreeHand MX, make sure you have downloaded the latest
available update for it. Download the FreeHand 11.0.2 updater using the
    following link:

I have also handled some print-crash issue that involves corrupted fonts in
Macintosh. Perhaps you can check your system for corrupted fonts as well.
Please follow the Fireworks TechNote on how to test OS 10.x for font corruption.

    I hope this helps.
