FreeHand MX has unexpectedly quit

I'm going crazy... I was using Freehand mx in OSX 10.2.6 just fine until this afternoon it suddenly quit. Since then, immediately after it finnishes starting up... it quits saying... 'The application Freehand MX has unexpectedly quit'

I've thrown away preferences, uninstalled & reinstalled the program, downloaded the update MXa... Does anyone have any suggestions?

You could try general Mac repair (that sometimes solves things for me.) Run FSCK, run Onyx or Cocktail, run a commercial repair program like Norton or Drive 10.

I think Wes is correct. Unless there is some reproduceable thing that you are doing to cause FHMXa to quit, you probably need to repair the system itself. If you dont have Norton utilities or TechTool pro I would go to download.com and get the freeware application Onyx. Use this tool to "update the prebinding" and to "repair the permissions".

Apple recommends updating the prebinding if you are having trouble with an application just after installing something, including that application. Good luck.

I got it running. I turned all fonts off except system fonts. later I found the exact font. It must have just become corrupt because it had been working fine until yeterday.

Have you installed the FHMX 11.0.1 updater? One of the bug fixes for Mac
users is that FH will no longer crash on launch when there are corrupt
fonts.
