    Default Freehand Styles

    Hello,

    Does anybody know if there are any third party Styles available for Freehand? I need to find a metallic look. Seems like photoshop has tons of these. Anyhelp would be great. thanks

    Well, the main difference is that photoshop is a raster application which
    will provide a lot more power for creating special effects, whereas Freehand
    is a vector program and by nature is limited in that area. However, Freehand
    MX's styles do add significant more creative power in creating styles for
    graphics objects... there may be third party style libraries available for
    MX, but I am not aware of any off the top of my head...

    Maybe this will give you some ideas:

    If you're using FHMX, you could always add effects, strokes and fills to a
    single object to get the look you want and make your own style. Start with a
    gradient fill and a beveled edge. For swirly, warped reflections you'd
    probably need to use a blend.
