Freehand won't open .AI? I love crashing!
Ok... this is getting really rediculas because I can't get any work done. Some
of the graphic desingers are using Illustrator CS and I'm using the newest
version of FreehandMXa... I can't seem to be able to open .ai files at all
without Freehand just totally taking a dive. I think microsoft has about 50
reported errors from me today alone. Freehand is supposed to work hand-in-hand
with AI and so far, I've waisted my money. PLEASE can someone tell my why this
is happening....?
Oh, and for the record... the .ai doc is nothing more than a storyboard
concept page with a little bit of text and a few lines and boxes.

Look in your FH Helps files under 'Import File Formats'. FHMX will only open
AI1 through AI9, although I have found the AI7 format to be the most
reliable. From AI CS you'll have to first export back to a previous version
file format.
BTW, the word is spelled 'ridiculous'. :-)

Yeah, but he got "desinger" right. I'm a desinger. Anyone who has ever heard
me sing knows.
Now *that* is just not true. The .ai doc is long-time AI user in Sylva,> the .ai doc is nothing more than a storyboard concept page...
North Carolina who fixes AI files. For a nominal fee, of course.

rediculas
BTW, the word is spelled 'ridiculous'. :-)
First thought that came to me when I saw that was that he was trying to see the humor in the situation when all he could see is red. ;~]

Maybe we should use the word rediculas in describing FreeHand because
ridiculous just can't cover it all.

The older I get, the more I seem to "waist" my money too--at least
that's what the tape measure and bathroom scale seem to show... -Tom Unger
