from text field to hidden field

Can you collect data from a text field and store it into a hidden field all
one the same asp form so that on submit the value of the hidden field is
ready to be requested??

What would the syntax be?

i understand you want to do it on user machine before submitting the
form, so you can use JS client-side:

<INPUT type="text" name="visibleField">
<INPUT type="hidden" name="hiddenField">
<INPUT type="submit" value="Submit"
onClick="hiddenField.value=visibleField.value; this.submit()">

how about changing the radio button to a hiddentextfield,...
i had done this
<INPUT type="button" name="visibleField">
<INPUT type="hidden" name="hiddenField">
<INPUT type="submit" value="Submit"
onClick="hiddenField.value=visibleField.value; this.submit()">
but the result is undefined.. can u help me...
