Front Page again - Macromedia Dreamweaver

I read with interest a recent post on Front Page, regarding an existing site initially created in Front Page, and how it can be updated using Dreamweaver. I have a slightly different problem. I am creating a site in Dreamweaver 4, and the client wants to maintain it by themselves using Front Page. Am I correct in assuming that, provided they do not use Front Page to upload, but use a third-party FTP program, there will be no problems? Default Front Page again

I read with interest a recent post on Front Page, regarding an existing site
initially created in Front Page, and how it can be updated using
    Dreamweaver.

I have a slightly different problem. I am creating a site in Dreamweaver 4,
and the client wants to maintain it by themselves using Front Page.

Am I correct in assuming that, provided they do not use Front Page to
upload, but use a third-party FTP program, there will be no problems? In any
case, their server does not support Front Page extensions.

The client bought Front Page on somebody else's recommendation, before I got
    the job.

    thanks

As long as they never actually open any pages in FP, you'll be fine ; )
Seriously, FP writes so much proprietary code that if you try to open a page
that's been built in DW and altered in FP, it may suprise you to find that
some of the simplest code has been rewritten. On the bright side, when he
asks you to fix the pages that were broken, you can charge more...

The above sentence is not true, not true, not true.

FP writes "propreitary code" when you create a page using its WYSIWYG. It
will only change code which was written somewhere else when it sees what it
thinks is an error, such as missing closing tags, etc.

And DW does the same thing.

This looks really good - I don't think they will come at it however, seeing
they have just paid for FP, and they are a not-for-profit group. I will ask.
Thanks for the idea, I will file it away for future reference.
