FTP
I've been using Fetch for my FTP Protocol to transfer and hold my files. But
I've been running into some problems.
It seems that whenever I create a new htm file or save changes to an htm file
that I've already created in Dreamweaver, a new duplicate file with a .nfs_
prefix shows up when I connect to my remote view through Dreamweaver. When I
open the .nfs_ prefix files I get duplicate files of the htm pages I've created
or fixed.
I've tried deleteing them through Dreamweaver as well as through Fetch but
everytime i refresh or reload they all come back.
It's just a pain and I feel silly that I can't fix it but I can't seem to find
out what I'm doing wrong. I need the space that these dummy files are taking up
(since each one is about 5K, 6K, or 10K.
Thanks so much ahead of time for any help.

place to get a good response to your question. Please ask general your
question over in the following forum:

These files are not being added by DW, perhaps they are through Fetch as
part of its uploading/downloading process to keep track fo which files
have been uplead when, but not sure. I am sure that it is not anything
in DW that is doing this.

FTP
Hi,
When I run dreamweaver 8 it always connects to a FTP host. How can I stop making it from auto connecting?
Cheers!

Re: FTP
How have you defined your sites? Where is your local site, where is your
remote site, and where is your testing server in the site definition?
