FTP or Version Problem? (Internal Data Error) - Macromedia Contribute Connection Administrtion

I am getting a intermittent Internal Data Error when editing and publishing web content at a client's site. We host the website on our servers and when we use contribute internally, we experience no problems. However, at the client's location we get this intermittent "Internal Data Error". Only after a few restarts that the process completes successfully. The client uses contribute 2.0 as opposed to 3.0 that was used last to update page content. Is it a problem with my FTP connection?...

Default FTP or Version Problem? (Internal Data Error)

I am getting a intermittent Internal Data Error when editing and publishing web
    content at a client's site.
We host the website on our servers and when we use contribute internally, we
    experience no problems.
However, at the client's location we get this intermittent "Internal Data
Error". Only after a few restarts that the process completes successfully.

The client uses contribute 2.0 as opposed to 3.0 that was used last to update
    page content.

Is it a problem with my FTP connection?

    Things to consider:

Using Advanced Connection Settings when creating your connection key. Next to
the "How Do You Connect to Your Webserver" dropdown, there is an Advanced
    Button. Here you can:

    - Check "Use Passive FTP to Connect to the Server ". This is worth a try.

    - If the client is running a firewall, you can check "Use Firewall Settings
when connecting" and you are able to specify a Firewall Host and Firewall Port
(this is to allow FTP traffic across the firewall if it is currently being
    blocked).

    Other things to try:

    - Try altering the connection settings of Internet Explorer. Another user on
this forum made the following modifications:

    IE/TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/ADVANCED

    Changed the following settings:

Enable Folder View for FTP Sites UNCHECKED
    Use Passive FTP CHECKED
    Use HTTP 1.1 CHECKED
Use HTTP 1.1 through Proxy CHECKED

I get the feeling that a lot of these problems are related to getting
Contribute to connect/publish properly when the computer it is being used on is
on an office network and sitting behind proxy servers or firewalls.

If anyone else can add anything useful to this, please do.

    Rgds
