explain to MM that shadows never (ever ever ever!) fall above the object
that is casting the shadow (and therefore should not blur the edges of
the object) this bug was never fixed. I also tried to convince them of
the need to separate the raster effect from the control object (as both
Illustrator and CorelDRAW can easily do) but that was shot down as well.

good... 300 for high end printing (which I wouldn't do with those effects).
