I would highly recommend updating your system with the latest service pack
(available from the above link). If you have Auto-Update enabled, it might
be a weekish before you are trickled down with the 270mb download.

I have installed on 5 systems so far, and it has been running just fine!

What backward country do you live in? EVERYBODY today has either ADSL, ADSL
    Wireless, DSL, satellite or cable.
Surely there is not anybody left on dial-up anymore in the western world.

Sorry, but you are wrong. I am located in rural Kentucky, and the one and only
option available to me is satellite, and others in this area have mixed results
    with it.

In any even, a large segment of users are still using dialup, regardless of what
you see thru those rose colored glasses.

I got it downloaded and it's running smoothly on my 4½ year old computer.
It's a P3-550 with 384 MB RAM. No problems. Took about an hour'ish to
download and install but part of that can be attributed to the processor
    speed.

How lovely for you. Not everyone can afford buying new computers every year.
Since my computer isn't used for anything critical, I have the older one.
Keith has the newer one because he often does work on it.
