G4 Identification: Quicksilver, Sawtooth,???? - Mac Applications & Software

Howdy all, Is there a list somewhere that relates which G4 configuration to the code name? IOW, what is Yikes, Quicksilver, Sawtooth, etc? The MDD is the Mirrored Double Door which is the last "new" G4 so that one I've figured out. And speaking of the MDD, I'm considering buying one in a couple of months to replace my aging G3/G4 hybrid because the G5 is out for the forseeable future. Pros and cons of buying the MDD would be appreciated. Thanks. -- Deja Moo: I've seen this bull before. My address has been anti-spammed. Please reply to: net replacing ...

There is a site detailing the differences between Mac models do a google on
    "identifying Macs"

The Quicksilver has CDR doors with rounded ends, the Sawtooth has large
rectangular CDR doors. As regards Mirror door Macs be aware that there are
at least two major subdivisions. The later units have dual speed Firewire
    ports, 2 x 400K and 1 x 800K, these units will not boot into OS-9 but they
    will run Classic.

You can also download a copy of MacTracker from www.mactracker.ca. This
nifty little app lists all Macs, clones, displays,...with info such as
configurations, history, a picture and yes, the codename.
