Garamond Premier Pro: quotation marks?
A question about Garamond Premier Pro, the font package that now ships with anything bearing the Adobe brandname.
I'm trying to use it, for the first time (CS2, Mac0S 10.4). Trouble is, I don't seem to be able to type anything but straight-up-and-down "stupid" quotation marks; if I want to set normal, "smart" quotes, I have to select them from the glyphs palette, which is also difficult as this font is arranged differently from all other fonts I've ever seen and seems to contain about 32,000 characters to boot.
What am I doing wrong here? How can I set quotation marks using Garamond Premier Pro?

Have you got 'use typographer's quotes' checked in your ID prefs?

Re: Garamond Premier Pro: quotation marks?
Thanks, Kathryn, for these shortcuts --- yep, they work. And thanks, DavidT, for your comment: that indeed turned out to be the problem. I do not know how this preference reset itself, but once I fixed it, I didn't have to type option-[ / shift-option-] anymore.
Embarassing to be posting such a newbie question; but because I generally control this using global preferences, which I have set exactly twice in my life, in 1995 for Quark and in 2005 for InDesign, it didn't occur to me right away that this setting may have come adrift and be causing my problem. So many "gotcha"s, so little time . . .
