Garbled Data from Online PDF Form
We use an interactive PDF form (created in Pro 8 for Mac) on our Web site for folks to order tickets for our Performing Arts Center. When submitted, the form data goes to the Box Office, who open the file in Pro 8 Windows, print out and process the request.
Forms submitted by folks not on the college's network come through fine. Those submitted by folks on network (inside firewall) come through as garble.
Mentioned this to a certified Adobe trainer and he thought he had heard/read somewhere that this was caused by a firewall setting and suggested I post here to see if someone can help us resolve the issue.
The form can be accessed at the following URL:

Re: Garbled Data from Online PDF Form
The only thing I can see is that the form fields use one flavor or another of the Times font and they are the only ones that aren't embedded in the file.

Re: Garbled Data from Online PDF Form
The garble is in the user's response, not the form itself.
The submitted data auto-populates a copy of the form on the Box Office's CPU.

Re: Garbled Data from Online PDF Form
My guess is it could have something to do with you email system, since you're using the mailto scheme with the submit action. If you can perform a sample submission that demonstrates this, I'd be very interested in looking at the resulting FDF, which may have clues as to what's happening.

Re: Garbled Data from Online PDF Form
George,
I sent your a direct e-mail with the FDF file.
I had put quantities in several of the show areas - but they come up blank in the FDF file.
I have added a second e-mail address to the submit button, so that I'll get copies of the files for a while.
If you use "test" in the name fields, we'll know not to try to contact you regarding your tremendous support for our performances.

Re: Garbled Data from Online PDF Form
Everett,
I haven't received a file yet. You may want to use a different email system to send it. :^)

George,
I'm trying to attach the FDF file to this string - but can't figure out how.
If you'd send me a e-mail to npcmpr@gmail.com, I'd appreciate your assistance.
