Generate Quark tags?
I've been playing around trying to export an ID file with style tags that have at least some semblance to Quark tags but without success (I'm tying to send a document to someone who only uses Quark)
ID tags have the annoying "pstyle" etc. in front of everything, while the XML export does not let me name the tags anything other than a text name.
Anyone know of a script that would let me export with quark tags or at least modify how ID tags are exported?
Cheers.

Re: ID tagged text issues
Are you exporting as Verbose or Abbreviated? Try Abbreviated -- it trims a lot of gobbledygook.
Not sure what your ultimate purpose is with customizing the tags, but it could probably be done with scripting.
I sometimes use MS Word macros to convert back and forth between ID tagged text and html code -- it's a pretty quick way to get the job done.

Re: ID tagged text issues
Thanks for the suggestions.
That output was actually abbreviated. For some reason ID's sticking random font size and leading codes into the text and I don't know why.
The reason I need custom tags is to match my publisher's custom codes. InDesign is nowhere near being able to generate them, so if anyone knows of a script that I could use to convert ID tags either before or after they're generated, please let me know !
Meanwhile i'll check out Word macros, though it ultimately seems odd to dump everything from a page layout program into Word in order to format it. Kinda like going backwards to go forwards.
