Generating PDFs from universal applications
I've recently switched to the intel-based MacBook Pro, running 10.4.8
I've got Creative Suite 2 installed, and updated my Acrobat to 7.0.8.
When I generate PDFs from within the CS2 apps (running, I assume, under Rosetta), my printer menu allows the expected PDF options to be accessed. However, when I try to generate a PDF from a Universal Program (Mellel 2.1.2) the Adobe PDF options in my print menu are not acessible. Nevertheless, the PDF Printer that I have set up does generate a PDF, but I cannot change any options and it prints the document to my desktop (doesn't give me an option to save it to some other location).
Is this an expected problem due to running under Rosetta? Or should I look for some other issue?
Thanks,
Karyn

Re: Generating PDFs from universal applications
Dear Karyn Traphagen,
The AdobePDF Printing PlugIn of Acrobat 7 is not universal. You have to ether update to Acrobat 8 or print to a PostScript file, that you then drop onto Distiller.

Re: Generating PDFs from universal applications
Thanks Peter. This will help me weigh if I should update to Acrobat 8 now or wait until I update to CS3.
