Default Generating PDFs with EPS files embedded

I upgraded to FH 10 because I prefer to use OS X and found lots of problems with it, especially that it could not generate a PDF with an EPS file in it. I returned FH 10 and continued using FH 9. I downloaded the trial of FH MX to see if the problems had been corrected. Everything that didn't work in FH 10 now worked in the trial FH MX. I was thrilled. That was about six months ago.

I just upgraded to FH MX and now find that I still cannot generate PDFs if the file has an EPS in it. Aaargh! What happened? Is there a difference between the trial version of FH MX and the official released version?

I tried saving as a postscript file (using the Mac print dialog Output options), but it generates a PS file that my Distiller 5 (running in Classic 9) cannot recognize.

I tried saving as a PDF (using the Mac print dialog Output options) and it will generate a PDF but it is a huge file compared to a PDF of the same file generated by FH 9.

Am I just out of luck with PDFs and any version of FH that runs in OS 10?

I have become used to this problem, and when I tasked a friend who has
been using FH longer than I, he said that this is a long standing issue.
Does this happen on the Windows platform? If not, then perhaps is a
    Mac issue.

Yes guys, I have been working with FH from version 7 onwards. And this problem had always been on my way untill now. But now I use FHMX, yet if I did try to export a PDF directly from the file menu, it continues to show that problem.
Try to use the print option and assaign the Acrobat PDF writter or the Distiller to convert the work in to a PDF. This kind of solves the problem to some extent.
For your info I work on a PC.

    here's a workaround:
    a. export your FH document as an EPS (File > Save As> Editable EPS)
    b. open the EPS in Adobe Distiller
