Generating Video Thumbnails - Coldfusion - Advanced Techniques

I have created a site where users can upload videos. I figured it would make it a lot more appealing if there were thumbnails of every video uploaded. However, I dont want to have to do them manually, nor ask the user to do it manually. What is the easiest way to generate thumbnail images of a specified frame of a video? Even if it only works in a couple formats, that's fine, I just want to get this done. If it is a class or program of some sort, how do i execute it correctly in coldfusion to store ...

    Have a look at ImageMagick. (www.imagemagick.org).

    It can 'grab' images from .AVI (and more) files
