Get Info on Windows TrueType Fonts - Mac Applications & Software

OS X has introduced me to the wierd and wonderful world of Windows TrueType fonts. Sometimes when I "Get Info" on a .ttf file, the information window displays extra lines showing "Full Name" and "Copyright" details. Other times, it does not (i.e. on the *same* .ttf file). Is there any way to regulate this behaviour so I can "Full Name" and "Copyright" details *every* time I hit Command-I on a .ttf file? (I've started logging out, restarting and deleting caches, without consistent results.) Thanks for reading, -- Null...

OS X has introduced me to the wierd and wonderful world of Windows
    TrueType fonts.

Sometimes when I "Get Info" on a .ttf file, the information window
displays extra lines showing "Full Name" and "Copyright" details. Other
times, it does not (i.e. on the *same* .ttf file).

Is there any way to regulate this behaviour so I can "Full Name" and
"Copyright" details *every* time I hit Command-I on a .ttf file?

(I've started logging out, restarting and deleting caches, without
    consistent results.)

    Thanks for reading,

What do you mean by "Windows TrueType fonts"? Apple invented TrueType,
and licensed it to Microsoft. TrueType appeared on the Mac before it
appeared on Windows, if I recall correctly.

the format is the same, but the actual font is in the data fork on
windows and the resource fork on macs. there are conversion utilities
to copy between the two. osx can read both forms.

I mean TrueType (TM Apple Computer, Inc.) fonts in Windows (TM
Microsoft Corporation) file format. As distinct from TrueType (TM Apple
Computer, Inc.) fonts in Macintosh (TM Apple Computer, Inc.) file
    format.

    Any other fatuous questions?

It has to do with whether the System has already loaded information
about that font. It's not a supported function of the Finder.
It is, however, something that a programmer can write into his
    or her own program.
