Initialize the PluginInit. Before setup a AVTool button, i wonder to get the pdf file name. Or after setup the AVTool button, which callback should i call to in the PIHandshake in order to get the filename?

    Thanks your concern.

There is no PDF file name until a file is open. No file is opened at
    this point in plug-in initialisation.

When the file is open and the filename is set in pdf? Any callback can hold it? I wonder to do some functions when open the pdf file.

    Thanks your concern.

There is a callback each time a doent is opened. Bear in mind many
doents may be opened at the same time, and your callback may also
be called at unexpected times (e.g. when a PDF is displayed in a
browser, when the normal logic to get a filename may fail).

May i know where can set the callback to hold when a file is open? Within the PIHandshake, the file is still not opened.

    Thanks your concern.

You set the callback during initialization. It will be called each
    time a file is opened.

May i know which callback should i use and where to initialize? Is it use the ASFileSysOpenProc to hold when the file is open and initialize the callback in PIHandshake?

    Thanks your concern.

ASFileSysOpenProc is not suitable. It is used for the opening of all
files, not just PDF files, and you do not provide it for the standard
filesystem: it is a standard part of Acrobat.

Since it is doents you are interested in, rather than files, you
would want to look at the doent related callbacks (CosDoc, PDDoc,
AVDoc). I can see why you wouldn't find it though, the Acrobat API
doents are breathtakingly awful, ever since someone had the bright
idea of replacing a human editor with a programmer generated file.

You need to use the PDDocDidOpen notification (notification is the
buzzword here, not callback), registered with
AVAppRegisterNotification. Try doents from an older version of the
SDK, the Acrobat 8 SDK is beyond a joke.
