Default getting hacked through contribute??

Use Dreamweaver 2004 no issues connecting or changing site. Use Contribute
3.1 on two site, both are having issues. I am running Norton 2005 (client is
running norton2004) and both Contribute and Dreamweaver 2004 are enabled.

I am getting an error from Contribute 3.1 when I or my client tries to
publish a page on her website (http://site1.com)

It usually does it the first time (any page) while trying to publish and
then intimately when trying to publish other pages. The error form
Contribute is: Contribute encountered a network or file error, blah, blah,
contact admin if continues.

When we get the error, Norton 2004 and 2005 pop up with error:

Log file excerpt:

Details:
Attempted Intrusion "FTP Pathname Glob BufferOverflow" from your
machine against site1.com(xxx.xxx.xx.x) was detected and blocked.
Intruder: mymachine (xxx.xxx.x.x)(9857). < my local machine
Risk Level: Medium.
Protocol: TCP.
Attacked IP: site1.com(xxx.xxx.xx.x).
Attacked Port: ftp(21).

Both the client on her machine and my machine are getting the same errors.

Norton's on crack. Those anti-virus softwares always accidently block stuff
that they think are malicious. Whats furthur, Contribute uses connection keys
to let users log in, which is totally secure.

There should be a setting in Norton that allows/disallows certain programs
from going through certain ports to access the web, you should look in Nortons
prefs or options and make it allow Contribute to do what it needs to do.
