Default Getting started with Localisation in CFMX

    Hi there.

I am looking into the localisation of a website that is written in CFMX.
Currently most content is stored as XML documents (in the DB) and displayed as
HTML using XSLT stylesheets. What we would like to do is create these XML
documents with say, French content, and then render these. This is not a
problem. However, my head beings to swim when I think of taking care of this
for say Chinese or Japanese or other totally different character sets. I also
need to put a localisation framework in place that will allow us to switch
between locals (e.g. US English dates and UK English dates) easily based (I
    guess) on IP address etc.

So if anyone has any resources or experience in this area and would have any
suggesions on where to being researching this issue I would appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance :D

is the app already i18n? that would be the first place to start, then worry
    about the localization (l10n).
