Re: Going on vacation
Hi Ray, Have a great time, and take lots of your wonderful pictures, we will be looking for them upon your return.
We hopefully might be up North too, but we are hoping that the hurricane won't make a path for Cape Cod, our vacation time hinges on the weather here, as we get blasted if the storm includes us in its track.
Isn't this just a wonderful time of year for photography and vacations!

Ah New Brunswick...a photographer's paradise ! Of course that is how i remember it from 20+ years ago. The colourful fishing boats, the lighthouses, the surf...the people ;) Enjoy yourself and relax.

Re: Going on vacation
New Brunswick - still on the short list of places I have to go before I die! I've been to all 50 states, Yukon and Northwest Territories, and all of the provinces except the Maritime. Sounds wonderful, Ray. Have a great time!

Re: Going on vacation
Enjoy yourself! It's been a long time since I travelled to the East coast. About New Brunswick, I remember the magnetic hill and paying a buck to see a crater (hole in the ground) . . .they must have seen me coming! So avoid the tourist traps and enjoy the scenery.

Re: Going on vacation
Thanks to all of you. I just learned a few shooting techniques (thanks to Leen and thanks to my
photo teacher). I hope to have the time to put them to good use! We'll see that upon my return...
....else, there's always PSE to fix what was "supposed" to be the shot of the year, but ended up
being "the best finger the lense" picture ;-)
Chuck, I just bought another 256Mb CF card for my cam (side note: Chuck and I have the same cam,
Canon EOS 10D), making it a fat 1.3Gb of memory... I believe I can fit around 475-525 pictures in
that. I wish Adobe would have fixed its Camera Raw plugin by now... But, I guess I'll just to shoot
JPEG for now.
Take care, all of you. Life is precious and so short!

Re: Going on vacation
Ray, don't sweat it. Jpeg is still an exceptional format as long as the compression isn't too high and I suspect your Canon isn't scrunching them too darn much. :)
