Gradiant texture to Director
Hi forum.
I want to export a gradiant texture that's white to transparent but gif files won't allow gradiants and it needs to be a gif used or Director doesn't see the transparency.
Can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial thats a workaround.
Thanks in advance.
Michael.

Re: Gradiant texture to Director
You should export the texture in PNG format instead of GIF ; PNG allows gradient transparency and Director accepts it... Just make sure you enable layers when you export the pic. (TIF and PSD can work too, I think.)

TIFF and PSD work best to get the alpha channel right.

Re: Gradiant texture to Director
yeah another good way to make gradients is to make a one frame long flash swf file- u can use flash's gradient tools and u also end up with good transparency
