    Default Gradual Size Change

I am working on some art that has to word COMETS on it. I am wondering if there is a way that I could evenly make the text go from 100% for the "C", and gradually get smaller until it is approximately 50% for the "S". I hope I am describing this clearly. I'd like the change to appear throughout the individual letters, for example the left part of the "C" would be 100%, but the right side may be down to 95% or so. Make sense? I don't want to make the "C" 100%, the "O" 90%, and so on...

    Thanks for any help!

    Melissa,

Try Type>Create outlines (CtrlShiftO) and then Effect>Arc (CtrlShiftAltE) with Bend = 0 and Horizontal distortion -33.

I guess the other possibly tricky part to me is that this text is along a path...is that going to make a difference? I'm going to try your suggestions now.

    Thanks!

Poul, you are right: just Effect>Arc (CtrlShiftAltE) with Bend = 0 and Horizontal distortion -33.

Melissa, yes: just use the path type tool.
