    Thanks for sharing your shots. Something in the "Great Blue Heron" shot
    seems out of place, maybe the saturation? Was the saturation tweaked much?

    The "bokeh" as it is somtimes referred is the fuzzy background. I always
    feel that Nikkor lenses are a bit harsh in this respect. I can assure you
    that the book you are reading cant fix that. If it were taken with a Canon
    or Pentax lens the background would have been totally different. The shape
    and form of the "blur" is unique to many lenses but for some reason Nikoor
    lenses have a contrasty and "hard-edge" look.
