Greeked text at high quality display
I normally work with display performance set at typical, and text greeked
below 2pt.
I just set display performance to high quality, and 7pt text switched to
greeking.
I reset to typical display and the text greeking switched off.
This seems rather contradictory behaviour. Does it happen to anyone else?

Re: Greeked text at high quality display
It all depends on the settings you've chosen in the bottom part (it's about two-thirds of the panel) of the display performance preferences panel. That's where the meaning of the settings is established.

Re: Greeked text at high quality display
Thanks for that Dave. More buttons to press. Yippee!
I think this must be one of the new features in CS. I don't recall being
able to do that in 2. But then perhaps it was there and I just didn't see
it.

Re: Greeked text at high quality display
It was there. I think it is a poorly designed interface. That bottom part of the panel should be one-step removed from the preferences because it defines the meanings of the preferences; it doesn't choose the preferences.
But apparently I'm in a small minority on that point.
