Default Green-screened actors appearing to walk across screen

I once saw a marketing approach where actors appeared at the bottom of the
screen, walked over to the middle of the screen and made their marketing pitch.
It was very effective in that there was no background other than the web page.
Obviously, the video of the actor had been shot against a green screen. They
appeared almost 3D. Of the examples I saw, the only one I can remember was
used at the website of the movie "You, Me, and Dupree" where Owen Wilson
appeared that the bottom of the screen. I cannot find the company that
developed this technology. Can anybody at this forum help me find someone
    using Flash this way? Thanks.

its a combination of green screen video, utalizing after effects, final cut,
shake or any compositing program to key out your subject and then importing
that video as an flv (the alpha will still be attached to the movie) and have
that video play on your website without the media controller, only use the
    media display componet.

you can also use javascript to have your narrator follow the scroll of the
    screen if necessary.

i caution you that if you dont have the correct equipment available, this
process can get pricy quick with equipment rentals.

you are going to need a video camera, an actual green screen with the correct
lighting setup (*lighting is key so as not to cast shadows of the subject on
the green background. any differences in color behind the subject will make the
keying process that much more difficult), programs like after effects, final
cut and shake aren't cheap and you would need to rent a studio with the
equipment if you dont have the right stuff. the flash and/or javascript is the
    easy part.

I stumbled across this question while searching on Google. I run www.videospokesmodel.com, we are an industry leader in the website spokesperson category. We shoot our spokespeople in HD in front of a green screen and give you one simple line of code to insert on your website. The entire process typically takes 2-3 days.

You can choose from our large pool of talent or appear yourself. We have relationships with studios and videographers across the country.

The video lies over your site and doesn't affect anything else. Just like the Owen Wilson - "You, Me and Dupree" promo.
