Re: Groupwise Error with Contribute 3
So has anyone found a solution for this? We can get GroupWise running just
fine. But it involves uninstalling Contribute3. We see above they consider an
alternative e-mail client...not an option for a company with over 3000 users.

Re: Groupwise Error with Contribute 3
We do not have the problem with MS Word or sending connection keys but we do have a problem with MS Excel and sending email through the "Send For Review" feature.

Re: Groupwise Error with Contribute 3
We have GWise and haven't been able to get it to work either. When I send
connection keys ... I have to save it to my PC, then share it across the
network, or burn it to cd to give to users, very much a PAIN!
Since we need Contribute and can't ditch Groupwise, we have been using the
feature in contribute drafts where you enter comments.
We bought Contribute thinking that the email integration would 'work' and were
excited about that.
If anyone has success with GWise I like to know how you did it!

Re: Groupwise Error with Contribute 3
We also have this problem - we are a company with 1000 mail clients and if it
comes down to GroupWise vs Contribute it will be No contest. I am looking into
different options and will advise with a solution if I find one.:(

Re: Groupwise Error with Contribute 3
HERE IS MY SUMMARY I SENT TO MACROMEDIA ...
Problem: After installing Contribute 3.0, Word attachments in GroupWise mail
can no longer be opened directly by double-clicking. In Windows 2000 you get a
sharing violation error, whereas in XP nothing happens.
Solutions Attempted but Failed: (1) Uninstalling Groupwise and re-installing,
(2) uninstalling Groupwise and Windows Messaging (3) Installing Contribute
Update from Web, (4) Uninstalling Flashpaper only
Workaround: Users can right-click and choose "Open With" - apparently this is
unacceptable for some users!!

:D Hi,
Installing of CD will give the error message. Try Installation with the
options below.
I run it through ZenWorks as a NAL and it works perfect.
msiexec /i "N:\NALs\Apps\Install\Contribute\Contribute_Instal ler.msi"
ADDLOCAL=ConfigurationFiles,MLM,DesktopShortcut,Qu icklaunchShortcut,ProgramFiles
,HelpFiles,Contribute /qb! ALLUSERS=2
