Grrrrrrrr-Eraser Tool
Ok - It doesn't get any simpler than this, but I can't get it to do
anything.
I have a circle. I want to erase half of it.
I have FW MX. In FW 4, I converted to bitmap and used the eraser too. In MX,
I don't see how to make it a bitmap and the eraser tool is available, but
when I select it, I get the crossed circle indicator when I move over the
image.
Why is this so d&$# difficult? Macromedia has gone the way of MS trying to
think for me instead of just letting me do what I want to do?

Re: Grrrrrrrr-Eraser Tool
Actually, no I didn't. I'm not actually using a circle, but rather an
ellipse and it's not "in half" but I just needed a rounded side to stick in
a radio wave graphic.
Thanks. That worked. So, a better way?

Re: Grrrrrrrr-Eraser Tool
1) Draw Circle
2) Select Knife tool
3) Click just above the middle vector of Circle and hold
4) Drag down the mouse holding Shift
5) When dragged down past the bottom vector release the mouse
Circle is now cut in two parts. Erase other half. Convert to Bitmap if
you must by pressing CTRL+Alt+Shift+Z
Alternativel you could download a nifty little extension from John
Dunnings site called Wedgie. Download here and look for details on the
same URL minus the extension:

When creating Circle choose Wedgie Command from Commands panel and type
2 in field, press Enter. Et Voila!
Cheers!
