Had Jag 10.2 up and running, then updated to 10.2.5-Kablooey! - Mac Applications & Software

Now all I get is the international 'slashed-circle' sign a couple minutes after the grey apple... Any ideas as to cause? ....And cure? Pointers, advice, links? Thanks, Joan Tried zapping PRAM and "reset-nvram" and then "reset-all" in the open firmware window followed by repairing permissions... it worked once to get 10.2 up, but now no longer works at all, even on a jag clean install... G4 400 AGP [i think; it's the model right before the DVI jack]...

Lucky you. I got a grey screen with some pixel garbage in the upper
    left corner after that update.

Make sure that you really are doing a clean update. You need to replace
all kernel files, all cached update files, and the disk's driver.

Does the latter imply reformatting the entire drive? Or can the items
be dragged from one place to another?

Thanks for the link, I was unsucessful in finding this kind of info on
    my own.

Unfortunately, I spent the entire day performing every fix mentioned,
and things are worse than before. Now all I can get to is the hash in
    the CLI.
