Re: Hairlines in high resolution PDFs
Hi
It seems like im not the only one with this problem.
When we receive files from our customers we normally make eps´s off quark or indesign. But i being running in to those lines. What i being doing its make pdf´s and link that to my output template indesign file and make a pdf off indesign. thats the only way i can get them to dissapear.
Have you guys worked with the flatten transparency and hairline fix in acrobat reader??

Re: Hairlines in high resolution PDFs
I'm having the same problem and I use the recommended settings. ALL my pdfs with transparency (lo-res and hi-res) have the hairlines and I'm using the Acrobat 5 or higher (PDF 1.4) settings. No matter what, I can't get it to go away and my client that I'm proofing to is not happy. It's a relief to know that they won't print, but how can I get them to go away??!!
I'm using Acrobat Pro 8.1.2 and InDesign CS3 ver. 5.0.4.

Re: Hairlines in high resolution PDFs
99% of the time, these PDFs with the "hairlines" are Press Ready and will not print with them. It's all in how you view the PDFs and have your preferences set up correctly.
Try going to your Acrobat's Page Display preferences and in the "Rendering" section turn off "Smooth line art" and "Smooth images".
