Hand tool with down arrow

Can anybody tell me how to keep the document view from increasing in size every time I click in the view window with either the hand tool or the hand with the down arrow? I have tried setting the page to fit width and actual size but it still increases when I click in the window.

By the sounds of it, someone has created an article in the PDF you are viewing. If you have a full version of Acrobat then you could remove the article.

Otherwise, scroll through the document using the scrollbar. You should also be able to hold down the button and drag the page before releasing and it should not go into "article mode".

That was exactly the problem. I did not know anything about articles.

Delete all articles from the pdf to get rid of the hand with arrow tool. To view the articles choose "View > Navigation Tabs > Articles" in Acrobat.
