I am having the same problem with quark 4.11 and distiller 4.0. (freezing and not seeming to complete) except i find my file in the tmp folder and it appears okay. What's going on?

When I try to make any pdf, (using Acrobat 5, Quark 5, Beige G3, OS 9.1) it freezes after distilling page 1. I see others have the same problem, but there are no solutions. Does anyone have a solution? It used to work with no problems and I haven't installed anything new is quite a while. Any ideas?

    Larry,

In Distiller go SETTINGS and then REMOVE FONTS and get rid of what is in
the Window (yes, they do come back again) ...

Also, deselect the OPTIMISE option ..
