help: after disk upgrade won't boot - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

Hi, I have a dual boot windows xp + red hat linux laptop. I have a working disk and everything is fine. I upgraded to larger disk using a tool called copy commander (boots independently). I've confirmed all partitions are active and unhidden. When I power up, I just get the message: GRUB and no response. Any idea how to recover? Thanks Roger...

Default help: after disk upgrade won't boot

    Hi,
I have a dual boot windows xp + red hat linux laptop.
I have a working disk and everything is fine. I upgraded
to larger disk using a tool called copy commander
(boots independently). I've confirmed all partitions
are active and unhidden. When I power up, I just get the
    message:

    GRUB

and no response. Any idea how to recover?

    Thanks

Yeah, as soon as I sent that I realized I should have doen that first.
I did and was able to reinstall grub, but something was wrong
with the linux partition. I reinstalled (I was going to upgrade
anyway), and everything is fine now. I just need to restore
    my personal stuff.

    Thanks,
    Roger
